Westmereglobal is a small team. We hire rarely and carefully. Every person matters.

A team built on high standards.

Westmereglobal is not a large organisation, and we have no ambition to become one. Size, to us, is not a measure of success. Depth of thinking, quality of execution, and the durability of our relationships are what we track. We have built the team deliberately, one person at a time, with no concession made to urgency when urgency was not truly warranted.

Every member of the team carries genuine responsibility. There are no roles that exist to process and pass work along. The people here make decisions, own outcomes, and are trusted with the full context of what we are building — because that trust is the only way to attract and keep people worth having.

We operate across multiple jurisdictions and time zones, which means we have had to build a culture that does not depend on proximity to function. Discipline, clarity of communication, and personal accountability are not abstract values here — they are practical necessities that we have learned to insist upon.

Permanent capital, permanent thinking. We do not operate on a fund cycle, and we do not build our team on one either. The people who join us tend to stay — because the work is serious and the environment rewards it.

The problems we encounter rarely have clean answers, and the people who thrive here are those who think precisely, read carefully, and form independent views rather than defaulting to consensus. We value the ability to hold two contradictory things in mind and resolve the tension with evidence and judgment, not with comfort.

We are not a traditional investment firm where observation substitutes for ownership. Every person on this team is expected to engage with the operational reality of what we build and back — to understand how things actually work, not just what the model says they should do. We want people who are drawn to the difficulty of execution, not repelled by it. People who take pride in things running well.

Discretion

We manage sensitive commercial relationships, confidential portfolio information, and regulated business activity across multiple jurisdictions. Discretion is not a soft value here — it is a hard requirement. We trust the people on this team with full context, and that trust only functions when it is genuinely reciprocated. The ability to hold confidences, exercise judgment about what to share and with whom, and behave with consistent integrity is non-negotiable.

Long-term Orientation

Westmereglobal was founded in February 2022 with the intention of building something permanent. We are not optimising for a near-term event. The people who fit here are those who are drawn to building durable things — who find more satisfaction in compounding value over years than in achieving milestones over months. Long-term orientation is not patience for its own sake; it is the willingness to make decisions that are right for a decade, not just a quarter.

We do not maintain a standing list of open roles. When we hire, it is because we have identified a genuine need and are prepared to invest the time required to fill it correctly. We do not post roles to generate a pipeline, and we do not hire ahead of need to build optionality.

That said, we do consider speculative applications from exceptional candidates who are aligned with what we are building. If you believe you belong here and are prepared to make a considered case for that belief, we welcome the conversation. We respond to every application personally.

If there are no current openings but you believe you have something genuine to contribute, we welcome a considered approach. A speculative application should do more than express enthusiasm — it should demonstrate that you understand what we do, where we operate, and what a high-quality contribution in your area would actually look like in practice.

Expertise in financial services regulation, money services licensing, AML/KYC frameworks, or multi-jurisdictional compliance architecture. Particularly relevant across payments, fintech, and professional services environments.

Investment & Portfolio Analysis

Analytical support for investment underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and sector research across our four focus areas — regulated payments, enterprise software, tax advisory technology, and professional services.

Operator & Business Building

Operational generalists who have built or run businesses at scale in regulated environments — people who have done the work, not just advised on it. Experience in scaling teams, building commercial infrastructure, and managing across jurisdictions.

Technology & Infrastructure

Software development, data infrastructure, and enterprise technology capabilities relevant to financial services and professional services environments. We value engineers who understand the regulatory and operational context in which technology operates.
